Kuan Yin Statuary

In China, Kuan Yin is the Goddess of Mercy, Compassion, and is also the Protectress of Children. She is usually shown with a Lotus (purity and divine birth), holding a vase which holds the nectar of her compassion. In India she is the male deity known as Avelokitesvara, "The One Who Hears the Cries of the World".
